    Bluetooth compatibility

This may be a lame question but if someone could help me understand I would appreciate it.
I have an old (2 years old) Bluetooth headset made by Treo that I used with my Treo 650. While it works with the i760 for simple phone calls, I can't use Voice Command or hear music through it. When I buy a headset will it have to be Bluetooth 2.0 compatible, or will all these Bluetooth 2.1 compatible head sets and headphones currently on the market work with voice command and music streaming?
    Thanks

The headset you buy needs to suport A2DP bluetooth protocol to transfter stereo music or you can use a hack found on this and other pda phone websites to transfer mono to a headset. The hack isnt a perfect solution so far as I know; you must manually invoke a application to begin the transfer of music
As for the voice command over the head set, I think thats a setting in voice command but I understand people have been having trouble getting that to work.
    Thanks

I think you also need to make sure the headset supports the "Handsfree" protocol, not just "headset" for the headset to work with Voice Command or other voice recognition software.

Thanks for your help. I just realized I had a typo.
I said "or will all these Bluetooth 2.1 compatible head sets and headphones currently on the market work with voice command and music streaming?"
But, what I meant was, all these Bluetooth 1.2 compatibles currently on the market.
So, it can say "1.2 compatible" and still work with Voice Command and Music, as long as it supports A2DP Bluetooth protocal?
    Thanks again,
    Noob
