    Angry Voice Tags Problem (Still)

    I really need some assistance here. Are there any folks out there that can figure out how I can fix the problem of the Voice Tags/Voice Dial recordings being removed from the phone during a HotSync? It is really aggravating. I am currently experimenting with the different Sync options to see if I can determine which item may be causing this, but if anyone knows, I sure would appreciate it!

    Talking I figured it out!!!!!!!

    Okay, I figured it out.

    I use ACT! 2000 as my contact manager. Because I was using the custom option of Desktop overwrites Handheld during every sync, the address book was effectively re-created each time I ran a Hotsync. Since the voice tags are tied to the contacts portion of the Palm, I was losing the voice tags every time I re-created the address book! Brilliant -- heh?

    For those of you that are using other contact managers, I imagine the problem would remain. DO NOT choose the Desktop Overwrites Handheld option on contacts, or you will LOSE YOUR VOICETAGS!!!
