    Flyzip???

    http://www.thinkmobile.com/Handhelds/Article/00/01/59/ and http://www.flyzip.com

It is described on many sites as a 2.3:1 compression utility that MORE THAN HALVES the space used by many databases. This could be the killer app for memory-limited Palms. But will it work on the i300?

What's all this about flyzips and memory-limited pants? Of course flys should be zipped, young man, and if your pants' memory is too limited to do it, you should do it yourself! What on earth are we coming to when men run around with pants unzipped and... what? What's that? He didn't say 'pants' he said 'palms'? Oh. That's very different.

    Never mind.

    Thumbs up Fly Zip

I have Fly Zip on my I300 and it works great! It comes in handy if you have a ton of apps on your palm.

    Compare w/ JackFlash &/or FlashPro

I am quite interested in getting an App to help expand the memory of my I300 and would like to hear opinions/reviews/comparisons for FlyZip, JackFlash, and FlashPro.

    Thanks

    Question But does Flyzip work?

    Hi all,

I'm wondering if others have tried FlyZip (with pants or without).

I downloaded the demo.. It worked when I tried ziping Eudora Web from 500k to 200 something K (about half).

The problem is that I could not see Eudora Web on the launcher screen to open it. The docs say it works with launcher III.

I wonder if any one has the reg. version and has had success launching zipped apps on the i300.

    Thanks...Brad

Flyzip seems to work just fine... I have what would occupy about 10 megs on my unit now, and there's room to spare!

    v 1.7

It takes a bit of juggling and foresight, because to ZIP a file you must have sufficient space for both the ZIPPED and UNZIPPED version, after which the UNZIPPED version goes away to create space. Similarly, when you UNZIP a file there must be space for both.
