    Question 3G upgradeable

I'm trying to find out whether the i300 will be able to be upgraded to 3G when Sprint iniates that early next year. I read a review that noted that it wasn't, but it didn't explain why not. This reviewer said that this was one of its major drawbacks, since it wouldn't benefit from the faster data speed of 3G. I would have thought that it could be upgraded by a software patch or something, like Sprints Digital Link module for the Visor. Any information or thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Ken<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

    ken,

dont wanna get too techncal, but the i300 will NOT be able to take advantage of the new infrastructure. it would take more than a software patch to make this phone work on the new system... definately the next gen. samsung pda/phone will be 3g compatibile...

Samsung rep specified it would NOT do 3G ... but it will keep on truckin' when Sprint goes 3G as CDMA2000 will support CDMAOne devices.
