Looking at a sync/charger cable... Anyone using this???

It says it is for USB type A to Palm Tungsten W PDA/ Cellular Phone connectors. (Is this what an i300 is?)

    It's called ZiplinQ.

Doesn't mention the I300 by name but search brings it up and it says it works with a number of PDA's including Samsung.

Connection says it will both charge and sync with cable that has USB end on it and has a retractable cable.

    Anyone???

    Here's a link... But..

Called and no answer... Says in ad to not expect a fast answer on phone...

    http://www.buycellfones.com/ac/zipli...tterysync.html

There are other sites selling it. Just do a search using the words: Samsung i300 ziplinq.

Let us know what you come up with. I figured by now since so many sites seem to have it that there would be some input here...

    Thanks... Gary

I didn't realize that a spool was "one of the most advanced space saving technologies available." Regardless, would be neat to have for traveling. I didn't realize the USB port would charge the phone.

yeah usb ports put out ~5V.

its hard to tell if it will work. the pin configuration MUST be exact. the samsung phone is a unique device and may have a different pin setup than a conventional pda...

btw the sync charger is EXACTLY the same...

Some of my USB stuff charges the phones. (My data cable charges the A460 but it doesn't do anything but data for the A680 or the A620.

Doesn't seem rocket science to make it charge too.

Anyone else out there with one of these USB cables? No answer from anyone selling them.

again, i doubt any regular member has one of these as i have not seen anyone mention it. this device is a must have imo for any pda phone.

i would be surprised if they even made one for the i300 considering its long been discontinued. if it fits the i330 and possibily the i5 then its a god chance it will work for the i3...

Just got an email from buycellfones.com and here is a paste...

The cable is not compatable with Samsung i300
phone. It is compatable with Samsung i500/i700 only.

End of discussion.. I just ordered an OEM Samsung sycn/charger from someone new for $39 shipped.

Oh well... If it lasts a while I guess Sprint will sooner or later get me a later one... <g>

    Thanks... Gary

I thought I had heard of people using the i300 desktop base to hotsync their i500. Perhaps I'm just remembering it wrong.

So, it would follow that if it works on the i500, it should work on the i300/330?
