Yes, it works. I have used it with Map Quest to download driving directions.

    Works but is slow

It works fine and you can update your Avantgo pages without having to HotSync, but it does slow down the HotSync process.

I recently installed it then remove it once I found all the wireless apps that work on the i300. MapQuest has one and it works great and doesn't slow down the HotSync process.

In case you aren't familiar with them, most of the Palm VII apps work fine. I currently have about 10 of them on my phone. The apps range from MapQuest to FedEx package tracking to MovieFon.

    Love this phone..
Now I wish they would come out with some hard case like I had for my Palm V.

How is your connection to the Internet? When I hot sync my AvantGo pages it is not too slow, but I do have a T1 and DSL. I really do not use it much though.

Do you have a link handy for the pqa for mapquest?

    avantgo connection

I have a T1 here at work but I do have lots of AvantGo web pages getting sync'd.

I prefer the individual apps because they only get used when you want them where AvantGo gets sync'd everytime and I rarely even check it.

The apps I'm talking about are called Web Clippings. You can get them from

    http://wireless.palm.net/apps/

    or

    http://www.palmgear.com/software/index.cfm (look under Wireless PQAs)

btw. i found a great app for travelers.. its called iQradio. you tell it your preference and it tells you on what radio station you can find that kind of music. Great for those drives in strange cities.
