Yeah, yeah... It *really* does look like a bomb right now with the switch and wires hanging out!! I'll have to get a better ribbon cable with a molex style connector for it.

    Boom.

    OMG!!

All I can say is that I am very impressed! If an SD mod can be somehow created, I think I woudl be immediately convinced to go out and buy a new i5 and replace my Treo!

I can live without the speakerphone. It's nice when I'm on hold though.

I'd love the BT if I go go on-line with my computer through!
I need more memory though, SD or someyting would help!

I don't expect any new progress for 7-10 business days from Friday-- since I put my order in to Digikey for more parts, and I'm waiting for them to arrive. Once the new parts arrive, I'll get back to work.

Ran across this the other day and thought about this board since there was some discussion about a bluetooth adapter that would stick to the back side of the battery. Still trying to figure out how to order this, though.

I assume you really mean this: http://jcomco.com/english/product/bluetooth_00006.htm ???

    Looks kinda clunky.
I gave up on the free ipod. And where'd my smilies go?

Would it be possible to put a slim battery inside a extended battery case and use the extra room for Compact flash and mp3 playback multimedia. This would be my dream attachment and I would be willing to pay good $$$ for research if I knew that this was the end goal.

That was the original idea, except for the battery fire. Give me some more time to get more parts, and I'll see if an 'inside the battery' idea is feasible.

I feel so bad for that guy. I would be sick if something horrible happened to my i5 like that.
