    I530 talk - what about the i550?

I saw this about the i530, any news on the i550? http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/340/C2421/

I could really use an i550.

Unhappy Looks Like 4th Quarter 2004 to Me

Let's read the tea leaves in that short article:

    1. claims its Palm OS

    2. looks like various reported versions of the i500 successor

    3. splashy release in Athens (22,000 VIPs?) which means it must be GSM unless they're setting up a new network, and also means FOURTH QUARTER 04 for the rest of us, unless they want to upstage the splash by releasing to the common folks before the Olympics in September - would lose a lot of buzz

SOOOOOO....a GSM successor one year after the CDMA release here in the states. Still glad I jumped to the Treo 600.

    dstrauss,
did you say you switched to the t600? If so, (besides sms) why?
I'm upset about sprint not having an upgrade for the i5 sms so i'm thinking about making a change but i'm not sure i can deal with the size or open face.

Actually, I wasn't even interested in SMS. I moved for the SD storage; speaker phone; larger screen; keyboard. I was getting more and more into email, and Snappermail is great on this thing. Although it is larger than the i500, it's really not that much bigger. I just leave it in my front pocket facing my leg.

i've had the visor prism with the sprint phone adapter then the i330. one of the problems i had with them is when i got a call, if i mistakenly touch the sceen it would answer the call, weather i wanted it to or not. Is it the same with the t6?

with it's email capablity, speaker phone, download ability and sms i'm very close to moving over.

    thanks
