    I know who the i550 is ideal for

    Doctors

    Cell phone: Most hospitals allow talking on cell phones now except on telemetry units.

    PDA: medical textbooks, PDR, patient lists...

    Camera: 1 megapixel should be sufficient resolution for taking photographs of rashes and other physical exam findings for daily medical student and resident conferences

    I agree. Though, our hospital unfortunately, has a deal with Nextel, such that much of the hospital is wired for Nextel phones, including many pockets where no other cell service reaches. Great for communication but too bad for the lack of smartphones with Nextel.
