yaw (Yet Another Wrinkle)... PalmSource bought...

Just in case y'all didn't catch it... Apparently PalmSource has now been bought up by a Japanese firm Access Co. (Reuters article ). There is of course a lot of speculation that this may mean the end of PalmOS at least as we know it, or minimally, that PalmOS maybe even more marginalized than it is now. Who know what this means for Palm and future Treos... never mind our (my) quest for future PalmOS phones other than Treos...

My take is that this will be a good thing. PalmSource has been bleeding cash. This should enable them to finish the job of converting to a UNIX-based OS plus get the Netfront browser on Palm OS.

Any idea what this has done to stock prices? I bought PALM when it was cheap.
