Question are all Treo 650 speakers bad

Have had my 650 one week and mostly love it. However the speaker, which I use a lot, has always had very bad quality sound even at low volumes. I found the same thing with the one in the store, but I purchased anyway hoping mine would be better. NOT!

Are others finding the same problem or does no one else use the speakerphone feature? Do me a favor and give it a go sometime and report back.

    TIA

My speaker sounds better if I set the phone down on the table.

    FWIW.

I find the speaker on the Treo 650 to be much better than the one on my Kyocera 7135.

    So,
I guess that I am saying that mine is pretty good, nice and loud, pretty clear.

i'm unimpressed with my speaker. lots of distortion. i thought the clarity on my 7135 was better. plenty of volume out of the 650, which is nice, but i'm not impressed.

    doody.

The only problem i've had with my speaker is that it wasn't loud enough.. at least it wasn't until I installed VolumeCare

    VolumeCare and BTmute

Does the VolumeCare software actually work? I haven't setup my bluetooth headset (Jabra BT250V0 and speakerphone (Motorola HF-820) yet so I can't tell if there is a problem as decsribed by the description of BTmute. Any experiences with BTmute?

    Thanks

    Marv
