    The answers are:
    1. Jay Leno
    2. David Letterman
    3. Greatest Late Night Host of All Time

    The questions are:
    1. Could not fill Carson's shoes on Tonight Show
    2. Deserved the Tonight Show but still couldn't fill Carson's shoes
    3. Of course, Johnny Carson
Here..maybe... do you smell something fishy?

i had been watching johnny carson for about 4-5 years when he announced retirement. he was the best of late night we have ever seen. i didnt realize it @ the time, though. i really stayed up to see conan (though he does not get my attention anymore as the jokes are all the same). he truely was a wonderful man on camera, and his death came as a shock to me (and to everyone, i am sure). though he retired more than 10 years ago, only now do i realize how much i miss him. may he be turning heads in the next life as he did in this one.

    JOHNNY! WE ALL MISS YOU!

I remember when I was a kid in the early 60's, waking up late at night when I couldn't sleep and watching Carson with my mom. The habit continued through college (with the exception of my mom) and until he retired. Leno was a poor replacment IMHO, I always liked Lettermen but he's not the same. ...
He affected many lives, and I sure had a part in the conception of a several generations.

Sad to see the greats go... I was listening to Fox News this morning, and David Brenner has some of the best comments on how much this man meant to him and his craft. Our loss; heaven's gain.
