Anyone here collect vintage Coca-Cola machines?

Well as if my addiction to buying cellphones/pdas, home theater equipment and lobby items, and classic arcade games weren't enough, I am now hooked on vintage Coke machines!

I bought this old beauty and Steve (from this forum) and I brought her back to life. I really owe a big thanks to Steve for all his help.

It's from 1957 and purrs like a kitten. It is now one of the centerpieces of our home. Fun to drink from the chilled glass bottles (I have both bottles and cans in it) and definitely a conversation piece for when friends come over for dinner and a movie.

It's on the mainfloor right off the kitchen, but now I really want another one for beer bottles in the gameroom. I need help!

Anyway, anyone else here collect those beautiful machines?

Edit: My pic was too big, so I will post two below.

    Can you get Service?

    Mark,

How hard is it to get service? I would have to assume that these old machines used the early versions of freon, is that difficult to get, and very expensive? What about parts?

    Breeze_S,
Servicing is no probelem. There are lots of people around that fix these things. The freon in mine is the normal one used now days.

A fantastic forum for anything pertaining to vintage soda (pop) machines (1940's, 50's, 60's, some 70's), is:

    http://soda-machines.com/cgi-local/d...ikonboard.cgi?

The site: http://soda-machines.com has great info in addition to the forums.

    Enjoy!

My machine was a huge hit at my Super Bowl party.

    Soda Machine site

That is a really interesting site, with SOO much information.

I think the idea is great, and it adds a nice touch to the whole "Home Theater" concept.
