Question What did you do with your old G1000?

I know many of us have made the switch from the Hitachi G1000 to the PPC6600, so what did you do with your G? The G1000 represents a large investment, and I was wondering if folks have been able to recoup some of that and how they did it.

I bought my G on Ebay for $350 about 14 months ago, and was fortunate enough to resell it on Ebay for $268. More than I expected considering the large number of G's for sale out there these days....

Same here. I bought the G in Aug 2003 for $549 and sold it recently for about $210 on fleabay.

I'm hoping the 6600 will suit my needs for a longer time than the G did.

I use it to anchor my boat and as an occasional door jamb. Have you lifted your G after using the 6600 for a while?

I had a G for about three days while I was on sprint ... then I got tired of it pulling my pants down ... I wear shorts to work on swimming pools ... no belt ... I had to send it back ... so I could keep my pants on ... I tried to get my other service tech to use it ... but SHE said it kept pulling her pants down ... my response was ... "and the problem is???" hehehehe ... she mumbled something about the right place and the right time .. whatever that means .. LOL ... anyway ... I could of probably carried my laptop easier .. LOL

Dont get me wrong, I loved my G when I was using it. It was a good phone for its day. Unfortunately, with the advent of the PPC6600/1, that day has passed.

You can use old G's to weigh down the backs of pickup trucks for driving in the snow.

Blacksmiths often use them as anvils for forging iron.

We just got a shipment of old G1000s in at my gym. They're over in the freeweights section.

    Ok, I'm done! :p
