    Sale: Am I being unreasonable?

I've offerred to sell my i700 on eBay for $150, including two docking stations and three batteries.

After two days, I have yet to get a bid. But for anything less, I'd just as soon give it to a charity and take a tax deduction.

Reason for the sale: A new i730.

Honestly, a lot of bidders don't bid until near the end, attempting to get the best price.

    True that!

I've seen items bid up $20G's in the last 5 five minutes. Check recently closed auctions for a "going rate". It should be a good indicator of what to expect.

Completed auction list. You should expect $300-$400 depending on extras and condition.

    PS...

Timing also matters. If you end your auction at midnight, nobody is there to bid!

8 PM Eastern catches the "home" folk, 4 Pm Eastern catches the "at work" folk.

Thanks for the tip. My offer expres in the early evening EDT.

I've lowered the reserve price to $150, plus $10 for UPS Ground shipping. In my view, somebody would be getting a very good deal -- perhaps for a second backup phone/PDA..

    Andrew,

How is it going. Is bidding up or has it ended? What did you get?

    The eBay winner paid $177.

Besides the i700, he got three batteries (two fat, one thin), two cradles, two chargers, a mint earpiece, and a PDF manual.

Ouch! That had to of hurt. I could not believe the price drop so I researched ended auctions and the "flood" of i700's is staggering. I would say 100's in the last two weeks. Some got good money but the majority were in your situation. I'd guess that the availability of the i730 did the market in. I had sold mine in the beginning of the year, in anticipation of the i730 for $420. It's amazing what 6 months will do.
