i just found this awesome program...

you guys gotta see this! I downloaded this yesterday and i think it is one of the most useful programs for Pocket PC. It has yellow pages, Movie Showtimes, white pages, driving directions, weather, stocks. It even knows what tower your phone is in.

I used it last night to get movie showtimes for flightplan. SO Neat! Check it out and tell me what you think! Its called Info2Go at http://www.acodicmobile.com

    eh small price to pay

With everthing it can do...5.95 a month is nothing. I have never seen a more useful program...

Climber - go back to your folks at the company and have them negotiate a better rate for us.
Here..maybe... do you smell something fishy?

    ROFL

It looks like a really useful tool and I might consider it at $39.99 a year but please don't insult our intelligence with comments like the above. This thread and the original post are a little too obvious.

    LOL!

I just spoke with the company and they agreed to give it to us for $2.99 a month with the first 6 months free...

Ask Climber, he got the same note as well!

    LOL!

Here..maybe... do you smell something fishy?

How are you "speaking" with them? I sent them an email and it bounced, their contact pages no longer work along with their licensing page.

At $2.99 I would sign up right now but first you have to have a way to contact them.

    Racedog... I was kidding.

I think the posts in this forum show that Climber seems to be a plant from the company. The lack of posts and the nature of the replies indicate that he is doing a poor job of disguising this.

I could be wrong but I decided to be a wee bit of a ball breaker!

    Really? No kidding?

Ya see, the veterans of the forum have learned to catch the over-enthusiastic product promoters. That's okay--we all have to eat right?

Anyhow, since you've outed yourself, I'm going to take a look at your product and give it a whirl. I think you'll find that if several of the regular posters enjoy the product, you'll see them recommend it to the thousands of viewers of the forum, and hopefully you'll do well!

    Climber -

I received my trial log in.
I will give it a whirl.

It was cool that you were honest (after we caught you... LOL)!
After a couple of days, I will give my honest opinion. If I like it, I am usually good for a purchase.

Of course, you need to work with Convergent on a discount for members of this site... one hand washes the other...

    DNS Issues

    Guys,

We recently moved our nameservers to a new host, so there is some downtime on SOME machines waiting for it to flush.

If you can not activate the product, redownload the MSI file from the site. I have changed it to resolve by IP instead of DNS. Sorry for the inconvience.

    MSI: http://www.acodicmobile.com/Info2GoInstaller.msi

As i said before, this is a new product, and we are still trying to work out the occasional kink here and there.

BTW: how would i go about offering a discound to users of this forum?

As far as a discount, ppctechs has us enter our username and pdaphonehome.com in the comments section for a discount. If you wanted to be technical, you could have members PM you for a discount code (only members can send private messages), but then you would have to answer a bunch of PMs.

    Chris,

Since I can't get email to you I'm going to post this here since one of you is reading this. Removed the previous info2go and installed the newer one with the ip hardcoded in. Put in the activation code and it took it and then when it went to the info2go section it told me I wasn't activated. I can't do anything or pull up any informtion, all I continue to get is a box that says "error 10486".

So, what do I need to do to get this going? It looks really intersting and useful but I think it needs to get past alpha1 first.

    Chris--

How long should it take to get my trial license? It's been 2 hours. I don't like to wait long!
