    Edit Music for Personal Ringtones

I was hoping to find a program that would allow me to edit my songs so that I can use specific parts of them as ringtones for my i730. I've already tried Audacity (freeware) and it sucks. Nothing on it works. All I get is a graph that plays scratchy sounds. Are there any other programs available that would work?

audacity is a great program! the reason you are heairng the "scratchy" sound is that you are importing RAW data. you need to import mp3/ogg/wav.. you are probably trying to import .wma and audacity does not work with wma. its in the FAQ.

audcacity is an awesome program hands down. everything on it works!!

I use Sound Forge Studio and it works like a champ. It's not a free app, though... it's commercial audio editing software.
