    Disconnecting from Vision

I replaced my Sprint G1000 with a Sprint Treo 650, I'm very happy with the swap.

I notice that when I connect to Vision using either the email app or Blazer, the Antennae icon changes to reflect that.... however I when I goto another application, it stays connected to vision. If I put the phone in standby, it stays connected to vision...

How do I tell it to disconnect from vision?

Vision goes dormant after just a few seconds of inactivity (which allows calls through, etc.). And it's unlimited. Any reason why you would want to actually disconnect?

My concern is battery runtime related. I presume that since its "connected" to vision there will be some periodic radio transmissions to support/maintain that connection, thus consuming extra power when idle.

    Found it.

Run the "Prefs" tool, under network preferences there is a connect/disconnect toggle switch.
