    car kit for 650?

Does anyone know if the atreo 650 has a car kit available with an external antenna connection like I am currently using with my GSM Motorola 551?

I know it sounds crazy but I am still carrying two phones, so to speak. I use the 6600 during the day and I use the Motorola when I'm in the car (hands free, ext antenna kit) and when I go overseas.

The problem with car kits is the mfg's are always behind the curve on offering the add-ons we need and want. The MPx220 has ben out since October and Motorola still doesn't offer any other than standard items.
My PDA & SmartPhone History: Palm Vx; M505;TungstenT; NX60; iPaq 1910; I700; Treo 600; hx4700; MPx220; hw6515, Treo 700w, XV6700,, Treo 700p, Moto Q Black, Moto Q9h, BlackBerry 8310 & BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Storm 9530; Droid Incredible; iPhone4; Samsung Captivate; Samsung Fascinate; Droid X, Droid2 Global, Droid X; Droid Incredible. Funny how the familiar is where you end up in the end.

    This might be an option

First the antenna connection, Wilson electronics has a couple of solutions for the 600 and the 650, http://www.wilsonelectronics.com/ad...st-handpalm.htm

Seido has a car kit which gives power, external speaker, and mic, but no connection to an external antenna, http://www.seidio-europe.com/Produc...e=CK8CG25MTR650

Thb, also has connection kits for pda/phones, http://www.thb.de/index.html?lang=en

Just to keep it simple, I think I'll just use a mount from http://www.proclipusa.com/, and an external antenna from wilson.

I like the bluetooth features of the Parrot, but does it give you the ability to connect to an external antenna, to improve the signal??

Not that I'm aware of in the way that I am using it but I'm sure there is a way to get the best of both worlds.

How do you hold the 650?

Do you use a holder or a mount to hold the 650 while driving? The Parrot looks cool because it does so much hands free!!

I guess if you had a mount to hold the phone like a proclip, then attach an antenna like the Wilson, but used the features of the Parrot to max out the features of Bluetooth on the phone??

I didn;t look at the Wilson connector yet but that sounds like it would work - its just that the hands free of the Parrott works so welll because it stores its own tags!
If you go that route be sure and let me know how it works by posting!!

I am using the Car kit from Seidio. Seidio offers three types of car kit. I ordered G2100S, because it is a powered mount, also I can connect the external antenna to Treo 650. It is a powered mount and proclip is not. It is only $ 49.95 cheaper than proclip.
