    Verichat vs Push

For those of you who are very well versed in these details please excuse my lack of knowledge on this.

I'm green with envy because I have "the best" handheld device on the market in most oppinions but no push email, and a friend of mine just got a blackberry WITH push.
So of course, I go in persuit of push email and find "Chattermail".
Which I am finding a little deficult to set up with my yahoo acct., but anyway, I noticed a few similiarities in Chattermail and Verichat.

They both run in the background
    they both send attachments
    they both are instant

So what is the difference in the two besides that Verichat is easier to setup?

Please go easy on me guys. for as many post and replies I have I'm still new at the internal program stuff.

    thanks

    P.S.
I still didn't get Chattermail up and running just yet.

Verichat is an instant messaging application, not an email client. Chatter is the email client and is highly regarded by just about all the reviews I have read on it. To set up Chatter correctly, you are going to need to enable POP3 access on your Yahoo account, which means you will need to activate/subscribe to Yahoo's pay email service.

    marty,
Is there something I have to do with sprint or yahoo? Because I can send with chatteremail to both but I can't receive email from either.
I set up my yahoo acct. for pop3 email but I'm still having problems.

    my yahoo pop settings are;
    pop.mail.yahoo.com
    smtp.mail.yahoo.com
my login name and password is correct
and I still can't receive my email on my treo.

is it my return address in the set up of chatter? what should it be.

my apologies, chatter is a imap email client, not a pop client. i do not know if yahoo email supports the imap protocol which chatter requires but assuming it does, try using the following setting instead of the pop setting:

    imap.mail.yahoo.com

Thanks Marty, but I don't think Yahoo mail can support the imap protocol.
I try your suggestion (imap.mail.yahoo.com) and still no go.
It's funny how I can still send with that and other settings but not retreive.
Now I'll look for a isp that allow me to use chatter.
it's ashame because I do have an account with Yahoo.
Do you know of any that I can use?

    Thanks

Not off the top of my head but since most/many email servers support the common imap protocol, I can't imagine it being too hard to fine one. You may also want to give Snappermail a try. It doesn't use true push email but you can set it to check your email accounts at regular intervals (as often as every minute I believe) to get push-like email and is otherwise a great email client.

    Ok now I'm lost!
After deleting Chattermail, everytime I go to versamail and try to look at my "sent" file my device resets.
So after trying soft reset, I tried to hard reset. Then I hotsync to my pc chose my id and got my info back (except for my contacts and memopad info). Anyway, went back to versamail and tried to look in my sent file and it reset again.
trying to keep my temper but I'm starting to loose it
is this a virius or something?

    help please
