    T-Mobile 650?

I was hoping to get a new GSM 650 for a reasonable price at a reasonable monthly rate. Cingular is now out of the question because they insist on a 39.99 data plan in addition to the phone rate and a 2 year!!! contract. I am currently getting better than that on Sprint with my 600 (15.00 for Vision(data)). Sprint, sadly, is incompatible with foreign networks.

Does anyone know whether T-Mobile will be selling their own 650?

And I am price sensitive. I do not want to pay 700.00 for an unlocked 650.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I asked -- they would not answer:

    Dear Mark,

Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Currently we do offer a variety of phones and we do plan on expanding our current selection of handsets, however, we are unable to provide details as to when new phone models will be introduced the market. Please keep checking our website, www.T-Mobile.com for current and up to date information on handsets, plans, and features. In order to receive the product and service updates, you will first need to log into your online account. On the main page, click the link reading "Profile" listed under the Manage Account heading. On the following page, you will see a heading on the right reading "Offers". Below that, you can select whether or not to receive updates on our products/services.

If you have any other comments, questions, or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

    Thank you for choosing T-Mobile.
    Sincerely,
    T-Mobile USA, Inc.

    Thanks!
    Mark

I picked up an unlocked 650 this week from the local PalmOne store for 10% off. If you have one of these near you, this might help. Also, they sometimes ship to customers.
I put in an AT&T SIM and it works great! Otherwise, check online resellers like MobilePlanet for a deal.

Here is the link to stores:
