    Bluetooth CAR compatability?

I'm looking real hard at the 650 to replace my trusty 7135.

Searching did not give me any answers and I am curious if anyone has used one with a factory enabled bluetooth hands free system such as is available on the Chrysler 300C or some other car. This would be for a VZW phone.

I'm also confused about the comment I read about VZW phones having bluetooth disabled. (This is for the ability of the phone to be a wireless modem for a bluetooth connected computer right?)

Any help or comments would be apprecieated.

    Thanks

Hmm, I know the Treo650 has BT1.1 (not 1.2), which suffers for speed, etc. but off? Seems to work ok here. If they meant to have it off, I guess I have to take mine back, bleh.

Paired with my TL easily. Works just fine... No Battery or Signal Display and have had it restart the Treo while trying to dial 2x so far. Keeping tabs. Have until Next Friday to decide whether or not to keep it.

Searching Treocentral, I found only a few references to the 650 being used with the 300C.

It sounds like it doesn't work very well, but kinda works.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll wait a little longer. A friend of mine is getting one this week, so I'll get to play with one for free.

Very Impressed. That's my first impression of the bluetooth connectivity of the 650 to a Chrysler 300C. Might be jelousy, since my 7135 won't do that, but it seems to work quite well.

My buddy got his new 650 today and tested it out on his car. Walk away from the car while phone is in a call throught the BT and click it transfers back to the phone. Walk up and turn on the key while on the phone and bingo back on the hands free.

Maybe that's nothing to be impressed about, but it's the first car BT connection I've seen. If he starts haveing problems, I'll report back.
