New also, in fact haven't received yet. Should get it today. I have always had that problem with every phone. I always thought it was Verizon's way of charging double air time. I don't think you can hang up one and not the other. I always just leave the first to time out.

When all else fails, read the directions. Page 49 of the Verizon Manual:

"To hang up the current call, and answer the new call, Press Power/End."

page 156 of the Sprint manual:

"When you answer a second call and then select the Hang Up All button, it ends both
calls. In this situation the Sprint PCS network automatically redials the number that was
on hold so that you can continue the conversation."

Wow, learn something new everyday. This is great, I can drop a line and keep the other active. Here's how it works:

    - I'm speaking to person A.
    - receive a call from person B.
    - I tell person A to hang on, I'm going to pick up the other line.
    - I speak to person B, while A shows up on hold.
    - I toggle back and forth for a bit, and decide it's time to hang up on person A.
    - I make sure B is on hold, and I'm speaking to the person I want to hang up on.
    - I "Hang up All"
    - Person B, who is on hold will hear a ring, as if they are placing a new call.
    - I get a "Call ID unknown" new call on my phone
    - I answer, and continue my call with Person B.

    Cool.....

    3-way call question

Is there any way to have a 3-way call and disconnect from 1 caller without hanging up on the other on a treo 650?

Anyone? specifically regarding a 3-way conference call.

here's the ongoing problem I have w/ the treo 650:

I make a call to a co-worker, then decide we need to talk to another co-worker to confirm an order. I then proceed to call this other co-worker (initiating a 3-way call), while my original co-worker is on the phone with me. We both here the phone ringing, but he doesn't pck up and we get his voicemail instead.

question: How can I hang-up on the voicemail message without hanging up on my original co-worker, so I can continue to talk to him, without having to call him back.

I'd like to know the answer to this one (for Verizon service, specifically).
