Question Problems with Exchange 2000. How to make it work???

I've got a Treo 650 that I'm trying to get setup to work with our exchange server here at work. I have complete access to the exchange server so I can do whatever I need to do. We use Exchange Server 2000.

I went into the VersaMail and selected Exchange. I set it up using our mail.domain.com address and the username/password combination.

When I select TEST at the end of account setup I'm getting the following:

Sucess!!! Accessed Server, but incorrect version.

Well...incorrect version of what!? VersaMail, Exchange Server, or what? And what version do I need?

When I try and actually run a Sync I get the following:

There was a problem syncing messages.
    (0006)HTTP/1.1 405 Method Not Allowed
    Server: Microsoft - IIS/5.0

Any information on what I need to do to make this work would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Wrong version of Exchange...you need Exchange 2003:

    PalmOne Support Page: Requirements

Requirements for Exchange ActiveSync on a Treo smartphone

VersaMail 3.0 included with Treo 650*
    Corporate email username
    Corporate email password
    Corporate email address
    Corporate Exchange Server address
Corporate or wireless proxy server if necessary
    Corporate infrastructure:
    Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
Activated mobile access for users (this is the default)
Allow access to Exchange Server via SSL with or without a proxy

Absolutely correct, the ActiveSync part of VersaMail only works with a MS Exchange 2003 server. Your best bets are:

    1) Check to see if your exchange server is setup for IMAP access.

    2) Set a rule in OL to forward your email to a POP3 account and then access the email there. (at least you can read the email at that point)
