    Lost Internet Settings

    This morning I attempted to connect to Versamail (and then Mobile Web). I was not able to connect (I received a DNS error). When I called Verizon, they claimed that the only way to fix it was to do a hard reset. They stated that data must have gotten corrupt, probably because of some third party software. Obviously, I'm a little concerned about this! Why would this happen?

    Also, the technician kept trying to talk me into using wireless sync. Can someone tell me the benefits of using it? Up until now, I've been syncing my device via Bluetooth and just downloading email using Versamail.

    Any thoughts about all this?

    Well, that's what I get for listening to Verizon tech support. I searched Palm's site and found a reference to a system reset. I tried that, and everything is working properly again and I didn't lose any of my data or applications.
