    help with email attachment app

sorry for the newbie question. search has not been my friend today.

goal: getting midi file to 650 by email.

1st treo 1 month ago (verizon), i emailed the file to phone#@vtext.com. i didn't notice which app it went to, but i received the attachment, the file then showed as a ringtone option and i was good to go. treo#1 broke.

treo#2: receives email, but no attachment. text shows
    (midi file)<<xxx.mid>>
email is going to the sms. i tried changing default app to mms, but it still goes to the sms app. tried changing from nocharge to national access. i'm using the same vtext address i used before, hadn't installed versamail before.

    what am i missing?

I can't help with the email attachment issue. But there are other ways to get the midi file onto the handset. One: Bluetooth transfer it from your computer. Two: put it on your SD card, then open it with Blazer using the address "file:///filename.mid"

    Hope this is somewhat useful.

you can also just email it to your regular email account and then grab the email using versamail...
