Can I use the Earthlink Treo 650 as a Sprint phone? They seem to have the best price

I'm a current Sprint customer. I've got a contract. I'm totally happy with my service. I've currently got an i500. They owe me a $150 credit for a new phone (but I can only use it at Sprint B&M stores or Radio Shack).

    Sprint wants $549- my $150 = $399 for a Treo 650.
Earthlink wants $299 for a 650 ($100 rebate if you sign up with them).

Can I just buy the Earhlink phone and activate it on my Sprint account? I'm under the impression it's the same network so the phone should work(?)

    Any pros/cons? (besides saving $100!)

I looked and (surprisingly) don't see that anyone asked this question...

You won't be able to because Sprint won't activate a non-Sprint phone.

    Hmm...

Anyone know where I can get a better deal for the Treo 650 for Sprint...?

    Thanks,

But it looks like the rebates mean I have to sign up for a new plan (new customer?)? I'm already a Sprint customer. I just recently renewed my contract and I think my current plan might be better than that one (so I'd lose that plan) if even I can re-sign up.
I'll have to check into it more.

    Anyone other thoughts? Anyone?

Buy one off Ebay or another site. Make sure it is a Sprint branded 650 not just a CDMA version or you will not be able to activate it on Sprint.

Try complaining to Sprint customer service. Ask for a manager and they will most likely help you. They want to keep you as a customer.
