    Question Virtual Serial Port

Just purchased a Bluetooth adapter for my PC, and would like to hotsync like a big shot - wirelessly.

After installing the driver and pairing up, the treo bluetooth set up screen tells me to create a virtual serial port on my PC.

The problem is, I have no idea as to how to set one up.

    I am running Windows XP.

If anyone knows how to set this up, please reply with detailed instructions.

you need to do it through your bluetooth adapter software/config. Usually go to the local properties (vs the client properties) and Add Serial Port. Pick one of the available COM ports and then setup the Local Hotsync properties to use that port.

Cant give specific details as its different for every adapter.
